Robert was born and raised in Tulsa. He is a retired aircraft mechanic and a graduate of Oklahoma State University. Since the age of 12, Robert has loved the experience of photography, amassing a collection of old prints, slides, 16mm films, and negatives. He is an avid cinema fan, following the skills of David Lynch, Luis Bunuel and Fedirico Fellini among others. While many photographers have influenced his work, Henri Cartier-Bresson mastery of candid street photography speaks to his love of people and life itself.
Robert’s degree is in Sociology from OSU. The experience taught him to look at the world differently perceiving how human interactions shape social groups and individuals. When he looks through the lens, he uses his eyes as well as his heart to see things.
